Ìtàn Ìtàn Studio is an independent creative studio. This page says plainly what we collect, why we have it, who else touches it and what you can ask us to do about it. If anything here is unclear, write to hello@itanitan.com and we will explain it properly.
When you send us an enquiry
The form on Begin a Story asks for your name, the company or brand, your email address, where you are in your story, and what you would like help with. Timing, further notes and a file such as a brief, deck or mood board are optional, and the form works without them.
We have this because you chose to start a conversation, and we use it for that conversation and nothing else. We do not sell it, we do not share it with anyone outside the services listed below, and we will not add you to a mailing list on the strength of an enquiry.
When you simply read the site
We keep a count of which pages are read, which site a reader arrived from, and how wide the screen is. Your IP address and browser are turned into a one way code with a key that changes daily, so the record cannot be tied back to you or followed across days. No cookie is involved.
Vercel, who host the site, keep their own count in the same spirit. They identify a browser by a hash of the request rather than a cookie and discard it after a day, and they record the page, the referring site, your country and region, and your browser and device type.
We also use Microsoft Clarity for heat maps and recordings of on page activity such as clicks and scrolling, which shows us where a layout is working and where it is not. That one does use cookies, so it does not load at all unless you agree on the banner, and our Cookies page names each cookie and lets you change your answer.
If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, neither of these runs.
Who else handles it
We keep the studio small, and so is this list. Each of these is a company we pay to do one job, none of them may use your information for their own purposes, and we hold no copies anywhere else.

How long we keep it
- Enquiries: for as long as we are talking, and up to two years afterwards, so we can pick up where we left off if you come back. Ask us to delete yours sooner and we will.
- Files you attach: alongside the enquiry they belong to, and deleted with it.
- Page counts: indefinitely, because there is nothing personal left in them to delete.
What you can ask for
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or tell us to stop using it. Write to hello@itanitan.com and we will answer within thirty days. We will not ask you why, and asking will not affect any work we are doing together.
Children
This site is for people commissioning creative work, and it is not aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under sixteen.
If this page changes
We will update the date at the top whenever the text changes. If a change affects anything you have already sent us, we will tell you directly rather than expecting you to notice it here.
